Great reminder to parents!!!

Parents can’t choose the mates of their children or the behavior of their children. You actually can’t choose anything for your children without dis-empowering them.

What happens when you get a tootsie roll pop that has an Indian shooting for the star?

What happens when you get a tootsie roll pop that has an Indian shooting for the star? Do any of you remember this from when you were a kid?? When i was a kid, we did collect theses wrappers, and take them to the drugstore, and they did give us free lollipops.. Interested to see how many of you remember hearing about this or did it… and who remembers the legend letter in return???

Here are a couple of links about it too:) Brings back memories!

Blessings in Disguise

Blessings in Disguise – from the daily om

Recent difficulties may leave you wishing you could relive the past today. You may feel hurt because a miscommunication has sullied a personal relationship, and you could be busy figuring out how you might have avoided discord. Rather than focusing on the problem, try finding the blessings hidden in this experience. Perhaps there was a lesson you needed to learn or a change that needed to happen in the dynamic of your relationship in order for it to grow. By changing your focus today, your mood and your chances for reconciliation with that person should improve because you are seeing the situation as a gift rather than as a problem.

Regarding challenges as opportunities can take the sting out of difficulties. When strife enters our lives, we may have a tendency to focus solely on the unpleasant feelings it arouses in us. Looking at our circumstances with an optimistic eye can help us determine the underlying causes of a situation and see the blessings that may be hidden in the rubble. Solutions become easier to find when we view our circumstances as an opportunity rather than a problem. If nothing else, distressing situations frequently afford us opportunities to learn about ourselves and the world. Every time we get through a challenge, we become stronger and more capable. Find the gift in every challenge today, and you will find that your life and relationships are filled with blessings.

There are 150 ways to wash the dishes…

See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying—through their individual experiences—to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there’s no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being.
— Abraham

This reminds me of the saying..which may be my own saying…there are 150 ways to wash the dishes.. What makes you think that your way is the only way… or.. even better..the right way??? It is a good reminder.. everyone is always doing the best they can with what they have (they are washing their dishes the best way they know how).. whether you think there is a better way or not (like maybe use a dishwasher, or fill up the sink, or use a sponge vs a washcloth).. it isn’t yours to do, or fix, or judge (they aren’t your dishes).. so, focus on your own dishes:) Sunny Dawn Johnston

Enjoy!

Marvelous monday Question.. Win one of my cd’s! The third person to answer this corerctly gets thier choice of my cd’s:)

Everyone has their “thing”. The thing that they have to do/have every single day. Most people have a few “things”. The 3rd person to name my “thing” wins one of my cd’s! I’ve only come up with one real “thing” that i have to have everyday. Start guessing….

Manifesting 101

Have you noticed, that all great accomplishments require 4 things:

A dream, action, patience, and a whole bunch of miracles?

The miracles part is on me.
1, 2, 3, Me -
The Universe www.tut.com

All you need to do to create, manifest or draw anything to you in your life is:
1. decide what it is you want to create
2. see it, hear it, feel it, and know it with all of these senses,
3 listen to the guidance you receive with all of your being
4. be patient and get out of the way so the universe can take care of the details:)

We could all use some humor…

Bag of Cookies

A woman was waiting
At an airport one night
With several long hours
Before her flight.

She hunted for a book
In the airport shop.
Bought a bag of cookies
And found a place to drop.

She was engrossed in her book
But happened to see,
That the man sitting beside her,
As bold as could be.

Grabbed a cookie or two
From the bag in between,
Which she tried to ignore
To avoid a scene.

So she munched the cookies
And watched the clock,
As the gutsy cookie thief
Diminished her stock.

She was getting more irritated
As the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, “ft I wasn’t so nice,
I would blacken his eye.”

With each cookie she took,
He took one too.
When only one was left,
She wondered what he would do.

With a smile on his face,
And a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie
And broke it in half.

He offered her half,
As he ate the other,
She snatched it from him
And thought…ooh, brother!

This guy has some nerve
And he’s also rude,
Why he didn’t even show
Any gratitude!

She had never known
When she had been so galled.
And sighed with relief
When her flight was called.

She gathered her belongings
And headed to the gate,
Refusing to look back
At the thieving ingrate.

She boarded the plane,
And sank in her seat.
The she sought her book,
Which was almost complete.

As she reached in her baggage,
She gasped with surprise,
There was her bag of cookies
In front of her eyes.

If mine are here,
She moaned in despair.
The others were his,
And he tried to share.

Too late to apologize,
She realized with grief,
That she was the rude one,
The ingrate, the thief!!

How many times do we absolutely known that something was a certain way, only to discover later that what we believed to be true….was not? “Always, Keep An Open Mind And An Open Heart, Because You Just Never Know….”
