Therapeutic Massage Sessions at Sunlight Alliance Healing Center
Welcome to the Sunlight Alliance Healing Center! I look forward to working with you in support of your individual goals for improved health and balance within your body. Please take a moment to read through this information to introduce you to my practice and the process you can expect to follow as we work together during our bodywork sessions.

Background and Qualifications
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where I first began my transition from a 20 year career in Information Technology by receiving my first and second level Reiki attunements. I then traveled to Colorado with my partner Kris Voelker to continue my massage training. I am a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, completing the 1000-hour training program in 2006. Certification from the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork was received in 2007. I have been a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) since 2006.

Your Initial Session
You should plan on spending 75 minutes together during the initial meeting to allow for sufficient time to explore your current goals for our bodywork session and review the type of work that will be done in order to meet your needs. (All other sessions are 55 minutes in length, with an additional 10 minutes allowed for consultation and undressing/dressing time.) After our initial discussion, I will leave the treatment room to allow you to get comfortable on the massage table. For massage therapy sessions, you can undress to your comfort level. A sheet will be used to cover your body at all times, and only those areas being treated will be exposed.

The Healing Process
I will discuss our treatment options with you during that initial session and throughout our time together in your healing process. I view my role in our treatment sessions as a facilitator of your own healing capacity. It is essential that we both communicate our goals for treatment and our feedback regarding progress toward those goals. If at any time in our sessions you have questions or feel discomfort of any kind, it is your responsibity to communicate that to me.

Sunlight Alliance Healing Center requires a 24-hour notice of cancellation for your massage appt.
If you are unable to give 24-hour notice, you will be billed $25.00 for your missed appointment time. Thank you for being respectful to your therapist, who has held that time slot open for your appointment.
